Ways of giving
With an outlook toward new initiatives and expansion on the horizon, we hope to continue the legacy of giving to South County Hospital. There are many ways to show your support. Donors may select from a wide variety of methods of tax-deductible contributions to South County Hospital.   • Cash
    Cash is the easiest and most direct way to give. Your personal check is always accepted. Check should be made payable to "South County Hospital" and mailed to: South County Hospital, Development Office, 100 Kenyon Avenue, Wakefield, RI 02879.


  • Online Giving
    Online giving is a convenient and secure way to make a credit card contribution. Click here to make an online donation.


  • Stocks
    Gifts of stocks or other securities are welcome. Gifts of appreciated securities completely avoid capital gains taxes. Donors receive credit based on the face value of the securities donated. If you are considering a stock gift to SCH please call the Development Office at 401-788-1608 or email aoneill@schospital.com.


  • Corporate Matching Programs
    Matching Gifts are company-donated contributions that match the contributions made by its employees, sometimes on a one-to-one, two-to-one, or even a three-to-one level. This program enables some donors to double or triple the impact of their contributions to South County Hospital. Contact your employer's human resources department for details and restrictions.


  • Goods and Property
    Gifts of tangible goods and property, including real estate, may be accepted depending on the nature and utility of the items. Donors must provide fair market value based on IRS valuation rules and procedures.


  • Planned Giving
    Throughout its history, South County Hospital has benefited from the generosity of many friends who have provided support through their bequests and other forms of planned gifts. Useful vehicles for estate commitments include wills, trusts, life insurance policies, retirement funds and others. Certain plans also provide attractive tax benefits and life-income provisions for the donor, including charitable remainder trusts, and charitable gift annuities.   • Endowments
    Endowed funds are essentially savings accounts from which only the earnings may be spent. The principal of the gift is never spent. Donors may create a new named endowment fund with a gift of $50,000 or more.
